CHENNAI: The Greater Chennai Corporation has seized 2,962 kg of banned plastic in the last week, according to data shared by the civic body.
Out of the 2951 kg seized, 1,867 kg was from Royapuram zone.
The civic body collected a total fine of Rs 10.10 lakh from violators.
It inspected 8,777 traders.
