The Ahmedabad Xerox Owners Association has decided to go on a one-day token strike against the price hike and has appealed to all Xerox shop owners in Ahmedabad to support the strike by abstaining from work for a day.
According to the information, the owners of all Xerox shops in Ahmedabad are going to go on a one-day symbolic strike on Monday, August 22, 2022. The purpose of the strike is to let the public know that they are not in favor of the increase in the price of Xerox and print due to the increase in the price of paper and machine materials, but they are also likely to suffer due to the increase in the price of raw materials. Regardless of which, this strike is being said to be in opposition to the price hike. At present, the price of Xerox in Ahmedabad was 2 rupees and the price of printing was 5 rupees. But, after the price increase, the price of Xerox has come down to Rs 3 and the price of print has come down to Rs 10. According to Xerox owners, this price hike is due to the steep increase in paper, machine parts and maintenance. Now it remains to be seen how much and how much response this strike gets on Monday.
