In Porbandar, due to high winds, the anchor of a fishing boat broke and was strained near the old lighthouse. However, all the sailors of the boat are safe. But, the boat has suffered major damage.
It is raining with stormy winds in the Arabian Sea. Then, its effect is also seen on the port of Porbandar. While heavy waves are raging along the coast near the port, Asamwati Ghat and Chopati, the boat named ‘Sheetal Sagar’, among the fishing boats anchored near the port due to strong winds, was tossed with the stormy waves and beached near the walkway in front of the old lighthouse. However, the sailors came out unharmed.
But, as the stormy waves of the sea are tossing the boat around, efforts are being made to tie ropes to prevent further damage. And the sailors of the boat carried out the work of removing the goods from the boat. It is known that the owner of the boat has suffered a loss of lakhs of rupees due to the sinking of the boat. It is worth mentioning that the new fishing season has started. At that time, many boats are anchored close to the shore as the port does not have adequate boat parking facilities. Due to which such incidents occur due to high winds and fishermen and boat owners have to bear losses.
