As many as 33 roads have been temporarily closed for vehicular traffic due to over topping by the road and building department of the panchayat department due to heavy rains in Banaskantha district. Due to very heavy rain in Banaskantha district, heavy to very heavy rain is falling in most of the talukas. Due to the incessant rain in Banaskantha district for the last 24 hours, extensive operations are being carried out on war footing by the district administration to drain the waterlogged villages in the low-lying areas. In Vasana village of Dhanera taluk, water has been drained by TDO and road building department as well as police with the help of villagers.

Due to incessant rain in the district, the road between Araniwada-Mudetha village has been closed by the road administration due to the continuous flow of water between Araniwada-Mudetha village on Mudedha MDR road of Kankeraj taluka. On the other hand, due to heavy rains in Dantiwada taluk, the road washing near Dantiwada bridge has been completed by the administration in a matter of hours. About 20 roads in the district are flooded due to which the roads have also been damaged and instructions have been given by the administration for immediate repairs, which the administration is completing on war footing.
