Junagadh city celebrated Janmashtami today with much fanfare, people in the city witnessed great enthusiasm to celebrate the birth of Lord Shri Krishna. The grand procession of Lord Shrikrishna started at three o’clock in the afternoon from Ramachandraji Bhagwan Mandir located on Uparkot Road in Junagadh city today. The procession of Lord Shri Krishna, sitting on the elephant’s saddle, took place on various highways of the city.
A Shiva wedding was also held
Elephants and horses joined the Janmashtami procession. A large number of devotees joined the procession organized by the Hariom Charitable Trust. Various floats of Lord Shri Krishna and Shivaji were organized in the procession. Another event of Shiva marriage was also held in which Shivaji’s life was joined.
The devotees saluted the Lord
A large number of devotees celebrated the birth of Lord Krishna by celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna with fireworks and dhol nagara and bandwaja along various highways of Junagadh city. A grand celebration was also organized by Hatke Yuva Mandal at Hatkesh Mandir of Junagadh city and a program of Matki Fod was held along with cash awards and prize distribution in the night to all the Yuva Mandals participating in the procession.
