A Sahitya Mancha program on the theme of Western Regional Poets Convention and Statement was organized on the occasion of Swatantrya Amrit Parva, a joint initiative of Sahitya Akademi Regional Office, Mumbai and Shishuvihar Institute, Bhavnagar. In the third session of the program, Marathi poets Sumati Lande and Prakash Holkar recited their original Marathi and Hindi translations of representative Marathi poems. The president of the session, convenor of Marathi Consultative Board of Sahitya Akademi and famous Marathi novelist, critic Ranganath Pathare made a statement on contemporary Marathi poetry.

Sindhi poems were presented
In the last fourth session, Sindhi poets Naresh Udhani and Lal Chawla presented their Sindhi poems and recited poetry. Convenor of Sindhi Consultation Board Namdev Tarachandani gave a speech on contemporary Sindhi poetry and expressed his thoughts in the convention. At the end of the program Nanak Bhatt, Managing Trustee of Shishuvihar Sanstha congratulated and thanked all the guest poets, writers.
