- The Janmashtami festival is being celebrated with pomp in the entire district
This festival of the eighth day of Janmashtami is celebrated in different ways throughout Gujarat including Saurashtra. Then today, like every year, a Rath Yatra passed on the highways on the occasion of Janmashtami in Amreli city. Various organization and political leaders joined here. Similarly in Rajula city grand planning has been going on for years. Because of this thousands of religious people join here. People from the villages of Rajula Jafarabad area around the city also join in this Rath Yatra. Then, from early morning to afternoon, the Rath Yatra along with various floats was held in the Chhilli Chowk area.
A tight security was maintained by the police during the entire Rath Yatra
Janmashtami processions are now taking place in Amreli and Rajula town and some big villages. As a result of which strict arrangements have been made by the police to monitor all activities in religious programs and celebrations.
Leaders including MLA Paresh Dhanani joined the Rath Yatra in Amreli city and political leaders including MLA Ambarish Der, former MLA Heera Solanki in Rajula city were seen during this Rath Yatra. Thus today the entire area is covered with religious joy.
