Porbandar district has been experiencing cloudy weather for the past few days amidst rainy weather. Also, the rural areas of Porbandar district have been alerted due to the water being released due to rain in the upper districts. Due to the heavy rain in the upper reaches, 3 gates of Bhadar 2 dam have been opened by 2.5 feet, so the villages of Bhadar Katha of Porbandar district, especially the villages of Ghed area, have been advised by the system to be on alert.

Child drowns near Saran Ness
A family from Madhya Pradesh working in agriculture near Saran Ness on Khageshree Road in Kutiana was crossing the road at the stream. At that time, the seven-month-old child in the mother’s arms died while escaping from her arms. People are advised not to cross the causeway with flowing water
The District Collector has appealed to the people not to dare to cross the causeway when water is flowing in Porbandar district. Porbandar Collector Ashok Sharma has instructed the concerned officials of the district administration to immediately close the dangerous causeway where water is flowing due to the heavy rains, and arrange arrangements with the help of the police if necessary. The administration has appealed to people not to venture across the road when the water is flowing. If there is no rain in the local area and if there is rain in the uplands, there is a possibility of sudden rise in water, people in rural areas, especially those passing by vehicles, have been appealed not to venture through the water.
