Meghraja, which has been raining heavily in Kutch for 10 days today, has flooded many rivers and dam lakes in the rural areas of Rapar, Bhuj and Lakhpat talukas. Today, Bhuj’s inaccessible border village of Kuran has become unreachable after heavy rains. The Kuran river flowing on the main road towards Khawda has washed away the road causing waterlogging conditions. And people have demanded before the system to get facilities including health. It has been said through a video that several representations have been made by local people to build an overbridge on this route.

Rainy weather has persisted in Kutch for consecutive days. And continuous showers of rain are coming. Today, on Wednesday, there was heavy rain in Prathad area of Rapar taluka. So in Lakhpat taluka also many incomplete reservoirs have overflowed due to torrential rain. Even the biggest Nara dam of the taluka is overflowing and alert has been given by the system in the surrounding area. While important roads including Narayan Sarovar and Naredi have been closed, traffic has been disrupted. While Kuran, the most inaccessible village of the taluka, 100 km from Bhuj, has been cut off due to heavy flow in the river, Sataji Sama of Khawda said.
