The state government has allocated a grant of Rs.4 crore in the uni phase for the construction of the hostel.

Almost half a lakh students study in MS University. The number of students coming to study from home and abroad is increasing every year. As per the current situation in 16 hostels of the University there is no room for outside students taking admission in the year. The university had proposed to the state government before Corona for a new hostel. The project of construction of new boys and girls hostel was eclipsed by Corona. However, now the state government has approved the new boys and girls hostels of the university. After the green signal, two hostels will be constructed in the university at a cost of Rs.15.4 crores. For the construction of two hostels of 464 rooms, the government has allocated a total of Rs.4 crores. A multi-story boys hostel will be constructed at a cost of Rs.7.70 crore in 2.28 lakh square space near Jivaraj Mehta Hall in Boys Hostel campus. Besides, HM Mehta Hall will be converted into a girls’ hostel at a cost of Rs.7.70 crore in an area of ​​1.84 lakh square feet.

Will there be any facilities for boys-girls?

The Boys-Girls Hostel building has a ground plus floor plan. The ground will be equipped with water harvesting and solar roof top in addition to three escalators and lifts. The ground floor will have the facility of painting warden office, waiting area, TV room while the first floor will have the facility of library, yoga and indoor room.

A new building will be constructed at a cost of Rs.25 crore in a one lakh square feet area behind the canteen in the polytechnic campus of the university. It is learned that the process of approving the construction of a new building of ground plus seven floors is in the final stages.
