  • The PCB in this series is a big loss due to the security system
  • The England team was given presidential level security
  • PCB had to pay 4.4 million pounds due to security

After 17 years, the England team has come to visit Pakistan. A seven-match T20 series is being played between the two countries. Due to this series, the PCB is suffering a big loss in terms of safety.

40 crore loss to PCB

England team has toured Pakistan after a long gap of 17 years. The Pakistan Cricket Board should have earned money from this historic tour, but the England tour is going to hurt the PCB. The seven-match T20 series between Pakistan and England has cost the Pakistan Cricket Board a whopping 4.4 million pounds (around Rs 40 crore) due to the security arrangements made during the series. Because the England team has been given presidential level security for this series.

After the terrorist attack in 2009, the series was held now

This is a financial loss, which the PCB is willing to bear, as the two countries will also play a Test series this year. After a terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore in 2009, no Test matches were played in Pakistan for a decade and their home matches were mostly held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). However, many countries have visited Pakistan now. Teams like Australia also recently went to play a Test series in Pakistan.

England lead the series 1-0

England now lead the 7-match series 1-0, as the English team beat hosts Pakistan by 6 wickets in the first match with a half-century from long-time comeback opener Alex Hales. Today i.e. Thursday, September 22, the competition will once again take place between the two countries. The hosts will be looking to level the series, while England will be looking to take a 2-0 lead in the series and put pressure on Pakistan for the next few matches of the series.
