Due to good rain in Jamnagar village today On the evening of the 15th, the Sasoi Dam with a depth of 22 feet overflowed. This dam has overflowed for the third consecutive year. Apart from this, since the Ranjitsagar dam that supplies drinking water to Jamnagar city is overflowing, Commissioner Vijay Kumar Kharadi said that out of the four main dams that supply water to Jamnagar city this year, Aji-3 and Ound-1 and Sahoi dam have already overflowed.

The total level of Ranjitsagar Dam which is the lifeline of the city is 27.5 feet in which the level of Ranjitsagar Dam has increased from 25.5 feet today due to good rains recorded since last few days. Therefore, due to the forecast of heavy rain in the city, the residents of low-lying areas are appealed to move to safer places.

Nagar Primary Education Committee run school by Jamnagar Municipal Corporation in low-lying areas of the city such as Gandhinagar, Mehul Nagar in Ward No. 2, Ward No. 4 areas Navagam Ghede, Vinayak Park, Bhimwas, Khadkhad Nagar, Indira Road and Ward No. 10 areas in Bachunagar , Ghanchini Khadki, Dhuwav Naka Ward No. 12 areas Morkanda Road, Balnath Society, Purbiani Khadki and Ward No. 16 areas near Ranjitsagar Dam Vrindavan Park, Kalindi School, Marwari Vas have been alerted to low-lying areas of the city. Arrangements have been made by the Jamnagar Municipal Corporation to shift the residents of the low-lying areas to nearby Nagar Primary Education Committee schools.
