There is a frenzy of shopping related to Navratri in the markets as the days of Navla Noorta counting are left. There is no place to step in city markets. Not only this, women flocked to buy chania-cholis, dupattas, kediyas, oxidized jewellery, ornaments of various types and varieties even on Fridays, which fell only on Fridays.
On the next 26th, the great festival of Jagat Janani worship is going to start from Aso Sud Ekam. Chaniya-choli, which fetches thousands in markets and showrooms, fetched up to Rs.500 on Fridays.
Before Navratri, the Friday market was transformed into a clothing market as there was a frenzy of buying new and old clothes in the Friday market. It is worth mentioning that under normal circumstances, citizens of cities and districts come and go to buy old-fashioned items including junk, old furniture, utensils, paintings, electronic equipment, Ayurvedic herbs, kitchen utensils and equipment in the Friday market.
