On the basis of the information that the truck passing by Sugaria railway gate near Anjar city was loaded with alcohol under the guise of animal feed and was being taken towards Bhuj, the police raided this night. After stopping the truck and checking it, liquor and beer worth Rs 48 lakh were found. So two people were arrested. Mobile, truck, liquor were found from the accused and property worth Rs 63 lakh was seized.

According to the information received from Anjar police sources, LCB PI MM Jadeja and Anjar PI SD Sisodia and ASI Kirtikumar Gediya, Jayantibhai Vaghela were on patrol during the night while the pedestrians were going on foot on the occasion of Navratri festival. Then there was information that Bangla was taking liquor to Bhuj in the body’s truck. So a truck was passing by while setting up a watch near the Sugariya railway gate. Which was stopped and investigated.

7,152 bottles of different brands of English liquor worth Rs 28,12,500 and 180 ml quartias worth Rs 17,040 worth Rs 17,04,000 and beer tins worth Rs 3,360 worth Rs 3,36,000 were found in the truck hidden under the cover of 30 sacks of animal feed. was So the police arrested the accused Sandeep Shankar Pawar residing in the truck, Satara, Maharashtra and Ajit Vitthal residing in Waghmal, Keedgaon, Satara Maharashtra. A truck, 2 mobiles, liquor, beer etc. were found and a total of Rs 63,62,500 was seized from both the suspects. In the questioning of the accused, Akshay Sanjay, resident of Satara, Maharashtra, gave the assurance that he filled the liquor from Goa and sent it to Bhuj, but the names of the person who ordered the goods and the sender could not be known. Regarding this, the police have taken legal action against all the five persons.
