Mohammad Amir termed Pakistan’s T20 World Cup team as nonsense and said that this team does not have the strength to win the World Cup. The controversial star fast bowler expressed displeasure over the PCB’s announcement of a 15-member squad.
PCB announced a 15-member squad
The Pakistan Cricket Board announced the 15-member squad for the ICC T20 World Cup on Thursday. Babar Azam has been given the command of the team, while Shadab Khan has been made the vice-captain. Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, who was ruled out of the Asia Cup due to injury, has returned to the team. Along with this, Mohammad Wasim Jr. has also been included in the team. Fakhar Zaman, who was an average performer in the Asia Cup, did not make the squad, but has been included in the reserve players.
Pakistan’s first match against India
Pakistan has been paired with India, Bangladesh, South Africa and two qualifiers. On October 23, Pakistan will play the first match of this tournament against arch-rivals India.
