For the first time after two years of planning, the municipality has left the eighth zone and selected Varachha zone for the food festival. The food festival is starting from Monday in the party plot of the municipality opposite Liberty Nine at Ramchowk in Motavarachha. Over 48 food stalls at the party plot will allow Surtis to relish their favorite and delicious dishes.
For the Surtis, Navratri and food festivals have become synonymous with each other. Navratri is said to be incomplete without organizing the Rangat Food Festival. With the end of the corona period, the municipality has organized a food festival on the occasion of Navratri for Surtis who are eager to enjoy the taste of authentic Surti once again. However, the tradition of holding the event on the eighth party plot has been broken this year. After two years, this time the re-planning has been done on a municipal plot in front of Liberty Nine at Motavarachha Ramchowk instead of the Eighth Party plot. Dt. The first Norte Food Festival will open to the public on Monday, September 26. The food festival will be inaugurated by Health Committee Chairman Darshini Kothia.
According to the municipal administration, the food festival will have a total of 48 stalls serving South Indian, Punjabi, Chinese, fast food dishes including Surti Locha. Food Festival It will run from 6 pm to 12 pm daily till Dussehra on 5th October. Various cultural programs will also be held on all days along with relishing favorite food varieties.
