Indian Premier League (IPL) team Punjab Kings (PBKS) has got a new head coach. Trevor Bayliss, who led the England team to the World Cup, has been entrusted with this responsibility. Bayliss led the England team to win the World Cup in 2019. Now he will replace Anil Kumble in the Punjab team. The 59-year-old Bayliss was earlier the head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

The Punjab team owned by Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has been playing since the first season of IPL. The team was earlier known as Kings XI Punjab. Punjab Kings have made it to the play-offs only twice, including in the 2014 final.

Average performance in IPL 2022

In 2019, Mayank scored 332 runs at a strike rate of 141.88. While Mayank scored 424 and 441 runs in 2020 and 2021 respectively.
