The event was organised to felicitate the winners across various industries such as retail, real estate, furniture, start-ups and others. The evening was filled with glitz, glamour, power, fun and entertainment.
The event was adeptly hosted by Pallavi Walia Raj, a multi-award-winning celebrity emcee, TV Host, multiple times TEDx Speaker, Communication Coach and Influencer. As the venue was lit up with dazzling lights and peppy music, the evening took off with the ever graceful and stunning Pallavi Walia Raj taking to the stage and welcoming the esteemed guests. Without wasting much time, the first celebrity guest for the evening, Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu was invited. The multi-faceted actor stole the hearts with her warm and friendly approach, and the way she spent time with the winners onstage was worth a treat.
Later, Taapsee Pannu shared her thoughts and said, “I’m not just a visitor to Hyderabad; I have lived here for three years. I have some really important memories of my life here. That’s why I was talking to the winners because I have visited their stores, been around those places and seen them. Hence, I could connect with them. I started my work in Hyderabad. Today, awarding everyone who is making strides and great marks in their businesses in Hyderabad and Telangana is always my honour. Because I am also trying to do a little bit of business apart from my acting, and trust me, I know how difficult it is. So, I can only appreciate and acknowledge it. Thank you all for making things work.”
After Taapsee left, the stage was activated with a special dance performance from Roy’s dance troupe, who did their first performance. Their scintillating moves brought in energy, and it went a notch higher with the arrival of the second celebrity guest, who was none other than Sonali Bendre. Speaking during the event, Sonali said, “It’s a pleasure to be here. I must say Hyderabad is one of my favourite cities, and I have some wonderful memories with good friends here. I have done very few movies here, but it was great. The food is awesome. Giving away awards is always fun because you’re recognising achievement and excellence. Anything that is done in society, we look for recognition from our peers. And to receive an award in front of people you work with, it always makes it worth it and more pleasurable.” Saying this, Sonali gave her share of awards enthralling everyone with her mesmerising smile.
It was time for a slice of entertainment again as Roy’s dance troupe came up with their second gig, albeit in a traditional way. After the foot-tapping performance, all eyes were on the chief guest for the evening, Sri Kishan Reddy, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Development of the North Eastern region of India. Unlike the usual politicians, he wanted to honour the winners first and gave away his share of awards. Speaking to the guests, Sri Kishan Reddy said, “Hyderabad is known as the centre of infrastructure, IT, health, pharma and also entrepreneurship. The retail and real estate sector has witnessed substantial growth over the last one and half decades, driven by robust economic growth, rapid urbanisation, changing lifestyles and evolving aspirations. I commend OMS for their efforts in identifying Hyderabad’s top achievers.”
The stage was then taken over by yet another glamourous star, and she was Mehreen Pirzada. Mehreen didn’t have a speech to offer, but she certainly engaged everyone with her endearing smile and warm reception of the winners. As this was on, the guests were already treated to some delicious snacks. With Mehreen giving her share of awards, the event came to a close with the vote of thanks from Emcee Pallavi.
However, the final treat still remained. While guests were enjoying their share of drinks and sumptuous dinner, the stage came to life with a fabulous performance from the live band ‘Taarey’ comprising of Simon (Drummer), Rohit (Guitar/vocals), Shravan (Bass Guitar), and Christopher (Keys player), who played a mix of Bollywood and regional numbers. The event was executed by the We Connect Team, and the Trophy Partner for the event was Guru’s Enterprise. All in all, the evening was a delight to the winners, a treat to the guests, and an occasion dedicated to the best in their business.
