What makes it so exclusive?
To begin, the exclusivity factor is justified by the fact that only 10 units of the X6 40i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition will be sold in the country. The particular version is also a tribute to 50 years of of BMW’s ‘M’ division. Like other ’50 Jahre M Editions’, special M badges have been placed around the vehicle to signify its character and heritage.
Visual and mechanical upgrades:
The first visual upgrade in this particular X6 is the addition of the iconic kidney grille that has back illumination. The bumpers get larger air dams and a distinct front apron, brake calibers have been finished in red as well. The Jahre M X6 also gets BMW’s laser LED lights with range of up to 500 metres and on the inside it gets 4-zone climate control, Harman Kardon surround sound, electric sports seats and a lot more.
In terms of mechanical upgrades, BMW has given the X6 40i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition a special M Sport exhaust system and the Adaptive M suspension setup and M Sport brakes.
Performance:
In this department, the SAC gets BMW’s twin-turbo 3.0-litre, six-cylinder petrol engine that churns out 340 hp and 450 Nm of torque and the engine is mated to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission. The X6 40i M Sport has a 0-100 kmph time of 5.5 seconds and can get to a top speed of 250 kmph.
