HYDERABAD: A student who blackmailed a couple after filming them secretly and a driver who flashed a woman on the road were both sentenced to eight days’ imprisonment by a local court on Thursday. The two had been arrested earlier by the SHE Teams.
The 23-year-old student from the city had secretly recorded the couple when they were in his room using a hidden camera and later sent the intimate video to the woman seeking sexual favours. When the woman refused, the accused threatened to post the video on social media. The woman then approached the SHE Team which arrested the student after recovering the video evidence from his possession.

In the other incident, the SHE Team received an email complaint from a teenager about a car driver flashing her near the Narayanguda metro station after slowing down close to her. The girl said she had turned towards the car thinking he was asking for address, but the driver exposed himself and sped from the spot.
The complainant took a photo of the car on her mobile and the SHE Team arrested the 25-year-old driver after verifying CCTV footage. A local court sentenced him to eight days imprisonment.
