Noida sees big jump in investment proposals by firms, land allotment | Noida News

NOIDA: The Noida Authority has reported a significant increase in investments proposed by companies in the past five years. According to official data, the investments jumped from Rs 1,184 crore in the 2017-2018 financial year to Rs 6,745 crore in 2021-22.
With preparations on to mark another milestone, the inauguration of the state’s first data centre park in Greater Noida, by the CM next Monday, figures put out by the Noida Authority also showed that land allotment in 2017-2022, Yogi’s Adityanath’s first term, increased to 200 hectares from 63 hectares in in the 2012-2017 period when the SP regime led by Akhilesh Yadav was in office.
The data shows software major Tata Consultancy Services, which has proposed to invest Rs 2,300 crore and jobs to over 30,000 people, has been allotted land in Sector 157. Adani Group has been allotted two land parcels in Noida, one in Sector 62 measuring over 34,000 sqm and another in Sector 80 measuring 73,421 sqm. The company has proposed an investment of over Rs 7,400 crore.

IKEA has been allotted land in Sector 51. The company has proposed an investment of over Rs 5,500 crore. Microsoft has been allotted a 60,000 sqm land parcel in Sector 145. It has proposed to invest Rs 1,000 crore.
Paytm, the Noida-based startup, has proposed an investment of Rs 302 crore and has been allotted 40,000 sqm land in Sector 159.
Noida Authority officer on special duty Avinash Tripathi said, “Several MNCs have come to Noida during the past five years. Altogether, 867 plots measuring about 20 lakh sqm have been allotted to IT and ITES companies under industrial and institutional plot schemes. These companies have proposed to invest over Rs 23,200 crore in Noida and give employment to 1.52 lakh people.”
