Vrat Pooja Ritual
⦁ On Ekadashi, get up in Brahmamuhurta, get rid of bathing duties, wear clean clothes and take a vow.

⦁ Offer fruits, flowers, incense, lamp, camphor, offerings and yellow sweets in the puja.

Tamasic food is forbidden during Ekadashi. Thus, one has to fast on Ekadashi. But, this fast has to be started from the evening of Dasham itself. Therefore, the use of tamasic items like garlic and onion should be avoided in the meal on Dasham. And sattvic food should be consumed.
