Central investigation agency in cases of illegal mining Enforcement Directorate (ED)He has given summons to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. ED has asked CM Soren to appear at 11.30 am on Thursday. Along with this, the ED has also asked the state DGP to make elaborate security arrangements during the interrogation of Hemant Soren. CM Soren is being questioned in connection with his special representative Pankaj Mishra’s involvement in illegal mining and acquiring assets of over 42 crores.

Let it be known that Pankaj Mishra spoke to the officials on phone during his stay in RIMS. In which an attempt was made to intimidate the officials by taking the Chief Minister’s name. The case is already with the ED and there is strong evidence for it. In this case, the ED has already arrested the driver and one of his close associates who spoke to Pankaj Mishra on phone with the authorities and sent him to jail.
Pankaj Mishra is also accused of interfering in government work
According to the ED, Pankaj Mishra used the influence of being the Chief Minister’s Special Representative in several malpractices. Along with interfering in government work, officials were also prevented from taking action. ED recovered an envelope from Pankaj Mishra’s house during a raid in Sahibganj. The passbook, check book etc. of CM Soren’s bank account were kept in this envelope.

Let it be known that CA Suman Kumar, who has already been arrested in this high profile case of illegal mining, has made many important revelations. He through Pooja Singhal recovered Rs. 17.49 crore confessed to receiving the bulk of the amount. Now ED will also question CM Soren in this matter. It is being claimed that soon the ED may also issue notices to some top officials in the matter and summon them for questioning.
