Provident Fund There is a good news for the account holders. Interest money has started appearing in his PF account. Any amount deposited in PF has started showing with interest. Actually, the software of Employees Provident Fund Organization has been updated since few days. Due to which the interest amount was not visible in the PF account. There was a lot of discussion about why the interest money was not visible. But now the software has been upgraded and the interest amount is showing. For this some changes have also been made in the Provident Fund Savings Act. As the upgradation work is still in progress, the account does not show any interest. But accounts of about 3.5 account holders have been updated with interest.
Along with this, EPFO has said that the remaining people whose accounts are not updated are being worked on. Within a month, everyone’s account will be updated and the full amount along with the interest amount will appear in their account. PF amount can be checked online. If the customer wants, he can check his account balance through his mobile number. A new number has been issued for this. This number is 99660-44425. Customers have to dial this mobile number from their registered number. On dialing this number an SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number containing complete details of the PF account.
EPFO New Number
EPFO has already provided phone numbers on which PF account details are available after dialing. But this number is not available since few months. On dialing the phone number of PF, the sound ‘This number is not in service’ is heard. Due to which the problem of customers increased for several months. Now after the new mobile number is issued, the customers will not face any problem in knowing the PF account details. Keeping this facility in mind, EPFO has issued a new mobile number.
Complete information will be available from the new number
After dialing the new number, the subscriber will see the complete details of the universal PF account number, name, date of birth, amount deposited in the account in the previous month and balance. EPFO has said that a total of 6.74 crore account holders deposited money last year. However, the total number of PF accounts is 25 crores. The reason for such low number of deposits in PF accounts is that most of the accounts are those which do not have regular deposits every month.
