Pakistan’s ex-foreign minister Mehmood Qureshi

Former Foreign Minister of Pakistan and PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi was badly injured during the party’s long march. Qureshi was on a container during the party’s long march when it hit a flyover. He suffered a head injury while the container truck was passing under the flyover. He was immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment. Earlier in a press conference, he said that the four-day march has proved that the caravan is peaceful.

Speaking to the media, Qureshi condemned the construction of a wall against Imran Khan in Gujranwala and said that if any horrors happen, it will be because of the current government. Former foreign minister says conflict is not our goal. According to media reports, he accused the Shahbaz government of spreading such false propaganda. He also said that negative branding of the march is being done to mislead people.

Addressing the historic reception of the PTI convoy at Chan da Qila last night, he said GT Road was no longer a stronghold of the PML-N. According to the report, Shah Mehmood also said that Imran Khan considers the public and the army as his own. On the other hand, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhary said that the march could not reach the capital on time due to the slow speed of the convoy. He said that the container was being moved at a very slow speed due to the huge crowd for the march.

PTI’s long march is planned to reach Islamabad by Sunday, but Qureshi’s injury may hamper it in the meantime. It is being said that a large number of people are gathering in the long march of Imran’s party. Imran Khan on Tuesday alleged that there is a conspiracy between his party workers and the army to create a clash. Imran Khan is demanding free and fair elections and the Shahbaz government is refusing to hold elections.
