AHMEDABAD AMC TRAFFIC DRIVE POLICE BRTS CORRIDOR

Ahmedabad: There are many people in the city who drive in the BRTS corridor. Due to which many cases of accidents have come to light. Although this corridor is restricted to common man, people drive vehicles through here to leave early. Due to which AMC and traffic police have started a drive. In which 190 vehicles have been detained while driving in the BRTS corridor today.

More than 89 thousand fines were collected

According to the information, action was taken on Thursday on BRTS corridor from Memco Char Road to Naroda Road, Thakkarbapanagar, CTM Four Road in North Zone of the city. Two-wheelers, four-wheelers and three-wheelers were prosecuted and fines were collected from motorists. A total of 190 vehicles have been detained and a fine of 89 thousand has been collected.

Red eye against dirt

Apart from this, a drive against pollution is also going on in the city. Action was taken against those who littered the public. Strict action was taken against traders and shopkeepers by AMC’s Solid Waste Department. Officials of the Solid Waste Department checked the areas including Jamalpur, Gandhiroad, Manekchowk in the city. As many as 59 shops were given notices in the checking of garbage and banned plastic in public. In which a fine of 32,300 rupees was collected. A fine of 60 thousand rupees was collected from 107 shopkeepers by the Solid Waste Management Department of East Zone.

International Kite Festival in Ahmedabad

After a gap of 2 years due to Corona epidemic, the International Kite Festival is going to start once again in Ahmedabad and other cities of Gujarat in a grand manner. The International Kite Festival with G20 theme will be organized by Gujarat Tourism Corporation Limited from January 8 to 14, 2023.

Many kite flyers from home and abroad will come to Ahmedabad to take part in the International Kite Festival. Kite-flyers from G-20 countries will also participate in it.


The International Kite Festival will be inaugurated by Acharya Devvrat, Governor of Gujarat on January 8, 2023 at 8.00 am at the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad. Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel and Tourism Minister Molubhai Bera will also be present during the inauguration ceremony.
