Cold will continue in Gujarat for the next three days

AHMEDABAD: The force of cold is continuously increasing in the western states of North India including Gujarat, the cold is giving more current in the state with whisper of wind. The entire state is now experiencing a cold snap. Kutch recorded the lowest temperature in the state at 3.8 degrees. In Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar also, the force of cold is increasing continuously with wind in the morning. In Rajasthan’s hill station Mount Abu, as the temperature reaches minus, vehicles and fields are seen covered with sheets of snow. Cold weather is expected to continue for the next 3 days. Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan are also experiencing severe cold due to snowfall in the mountainous regions in the northern part of the country. A cold wave alert has also been given in many states of North India.

The cold started late but is now gaining momentum. Cold flashes are increasing continuously in the state. Cold weather is affecting people in North Gujarat and Saurashtra-Kutch. Nalia became the coldest city in the state with 3.8 degrees. While the minimum temperature of Disa is 8, Ahmedabad is 11.4, Rajkot is 11.2, Bhuj is 11.6 and Vadodara is 13 degrees. In other cities of the state, the minimum temperature has dropped to around 13 to 15 degrees.

Snow covers Mount Abu

The mercury has dropped to minus in Mount Abu, which is teeming with Gujaratis. The temperature here has dropped to minus 3. Due to this, light sheets of snow have covered vehicles and fields.

It is expected that the force of cold will continue in Gujarat for the next three days. Usually the cold is shivering in December but this time in January the cold is getting stronger. However, the Meteorological Department has not expressed the possibility of rain.
