At present, due to increasing demand for fish and shrimp, some farmers are raising artificial water bodies in their fields and using modern methods to grow fish and shrimp.

Pareshbhai Patel, a farmer of Bhalkodra village in Ankleshwar, has a farm on the outskirts of Kosmadi village. Some parts of the farm have ponds for fish farming, who have been rearing fish for the past several years.

Thousands of years of income from fish farming

Farmers are getting income of thousands of rupees per year from fish farming. Within three months of getting bee seeds, they are raising different types of bees and getting production.

Selling fresh fish at Live Fish Pond

In Pareshbhai Patel’s pond, various types of fish such as Rahu, Katla, Grasscarp, Mirgal, Brigade, China, Tilapia and Rupchand, Pankaj, Mangur are reared and all the fish are sold at 240 per kg except for Mangur fish which is priced at 150.

There is no need to go from the pond to the market where the fish is sold

Pareshbhai Patel, who is associated with fisheries, does not have to go to the fish market to sell. But in the live fish market, customers come to buy from the front and take away fresh fish at a nominal price. Farmers involved in this business are also happy with the income from the sale of fish.
