People of Kutch family came to Anand city for daily bread from the village of Kutch 40 years ago and started chappal reparing operation in the small market area of Vidyanagar.
Today another generation is working in this business. In which today the people of their family are doing the business of making slippers at home and are also earning good income.

Manubhai Vaghela said, “My father came to Anand city years ago in search of business and used to repair chappals here.
Since then our family members have been involved in chappal business in small market area of Vidyanagar. As time went by, so did the demand for our slippers.
Today there are about eight shops of our family in the small market. In which hand-made slippers are sold and this gives employment to our family members. From Kolpuri chappals to slippers, the prices are cheap as these items are handmade.
