The Indian Navy’s Ilyushin Il-38SD aircraft made its first and last flypast at the 74th Republic Day parade. It flew over the Kartavya Path one last time, bringing the four glorious decades of service to a close. The IL-38SD aircraft was decommissioned on January 17, 2022. The aircraft was commissioned into the Indian Navy in 1977 and remained a formidable air asset throughout its service life.
