Rishabh Pant Operated for Ligament Tear on Right Knee in Mumbai

After surviving a horrific car accident, wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant was airlifted from Dehradun to Mumbai for further treatment. Pant’s right knee has been operated on in a hospital in Mumbai.

25-year-old Rishabh was on his way from Delhi to Roorkee to surprise his family members. But, he met with a serious accident on the way, after which he was taken to a local hospital before being shifted to Dehradun. Currently, cricketer Rishabh Pant is the head of the Center for Sports Medicine (head of the Center for Sports Medicine). Dinsha is under the care of Pardiwala and continues to be monitored by the BCCI medical team during her recovery and rehabilitation.

Had to have knee surgery

According to a mid-day report, wicketkeeper-batter Pant has ruptured a ligament in his right knee. Then the Director of Arthroscopy and Shoulder Service in the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital Dr. Pardiwala is known to have performed the surgery. According to reports, on Friday morning at around 10.30 Dr. Pardiwala and his team performed ligament tear surgery in his right knee. The surgery lasted for about 2 to 3 hours. There were no complications in the surgery.

However, the report added that the hospital has not confirmed an improvement in the condition and the BCCI will release an official statement on Rishabh’s recovery soon.

BCCI is giving an update

It may be mentioned here that on the Delhi-Dehradun highway, Pant’s car collided with a road divider and caught fire. The accident took place in the early morning of December 30. The horrific car accident took place between Mangalore and Narsan in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand state. Pant was then initially taken to a competent hospital multispecialty and trauma center before being admitted to Max Hospital in Dehradun.

The first medical update from the BCCI said Pant suffered two cuts on his forehead, torn ligaments in his right knee and bruises on his back after the car accident, along with injuries to his right wrist, ankle and toe.

After this, the evening medical bulletin said that the MRI results of Pant’s brain and spinal cord were normal. It was added that Pant also underwent plastic surgery to manage his facial injuries, scars and abrasions.
