Just days after the deadliest West Bank raids in the new year, Israel’s forces carried out another one on Jericho in the eastern occupied region. Israeli forces shot down at least 5 gunmen during the raids. The large-scale raid took place in the early hours of Monday and continued until after dawn in the Aqabet Jabr refugee camp. As per Palestinians, the camp has been under an Israeli siege for more than a week. “We know that the appropriate answer to terror is to strike terror – and deepen our roots in our homeland’s soil,” said Israel’s PM Benjamin Netanyahu during an event in Jerusalem after the raids.
