Karachi attack: Militants killed as Pak forces regain control of police station | World News | Times Of Ahmedabad

Pakistan security forces have killed the armed militants, gaining back the control of police station in Karachi city that was earlier stormed by them, Reuters reported citing a government spokesperson.

Militants launched a brazen attack on the police headquarters of Pakistan’s largest city on Friday, officials said, as the sound of gunfire and grenade explosions rocked the heart of Karachi.

While five militants were killed in the operation, two people, including a police officer, lost their lives and another 10 people including Rangers personnel have were injured in the incident, Pakistan’s Geo News said.

Pakistani Taliban in a brief statement claimed responsibility for the assault.
