An Information Technology (IT) firm in Kerala’s Kochi has gifted a Mercedes-Benz C-Class car to its oldest employee, saying he was instrumental in the company’s success.
In a statement, Webandcrafts on Thursday said Clint Antony, the firm’s chief creative officer, has been with the company since its inception in 2012. It added he was gifted the luxury car in recognition of his hard work and dedication.
The firm said the number of its employees has gone up from four in 2012 to over 320 now and that it is duty-bound to honour the most eligible employee. “Our employees are the backbone of our firm and their hard work and dedication helped the firm grow.”
Webandcarfts founder and CEO Abin Jose Tom said that they wanted to show their appreciation by gifting the car. Tom, a dyslexic, is Kerala’s youngest CEO. He was 19 when he started Webandcarfts, said the firm.
