The war in Ukraine’s east is escalating with Russian troops targeting Ukrainian troops and artillery. The Russian defence ministry says it eliminated up to 70 Ukrainian troops and D-30 howitzers. Heavy battle also ensued in Donetsk with Russian forces claiming that they eliminated at least 100 Ukrainian troops. Russian media also published footage of UAV shelling emergency service personnel in a civilian sector in Donetsk, calling the strikes a ‘purposeful attack’.
