Amid the escalating war, Ukraine’s wait for fighter jets from its western allies may end soon. Poland has said it is ready to supply fighter jets to Ukraine within weeks. The Polish PM said that his government may hand over its Soviet-made MiG-29 fighter jets to Kyiv. Last week, Poland’s leaders said that sending warplanes would be only done within a larger international coalition. Slovakia has also expressed readiness to supply Kyiv with combat aircraft. However, there are no signs that key allies like the U.S. and UK will agree to send their warplanes.
