We’re just hours away from the release of the highly anticipated Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’ and it looks like the audience can’t wait to catch in on all the action.
Reports on Thursday state that the film is all set to record an impressive opening day collection that will likely surpass the Rs 20 crore mark. Sacnilk.com states that the advance collections for Day 1, have seen good growth, recording an all-India estimate of Rs 19.7 crore.
According to the report, the Hindi version of the film has raked in the highest collection of an estimated Rs 17.16 crore.Meanwhile, the Telugu dubbed version has earned an advance collection of Rs 2.44 crore. The Tamil dubbed version earned just around Rs 7.16 lakh while Kannada raked in Rs 1.95 lakh. The Malayalam collections lagged behind with an estimated Rs 1,600.As far as the film’s state-wise performance, is concerned, Delhi pulled in the big bucks, amassing over Rs 3.75 Crore (4.07 Cr gross). The Telangana sector also raked in impressive numbers. The film has reportedly earned over Rs 2.97 Cr [4.14 Cr]which is much higher than even the Mumbai sector’s earnings of Rs 2.85 Cr [3.29 Cr]. Karnataka also recorded a good advance collection of Rs 1.84 Cr [2.23 Cr].
The Ranbir Kapoor starrer has managed this huge feat even with an ‘A’ rating from the CBFC that restricts children under 18 from watching the movie.

Animal releases on December 1 in theatres, where it will clash against Vicky Kaushal‘s ‘Sam Bahadur‘. While the RK starrer is inching towards the Rs 20 crore mark, Vicky’s film has earned a little under Rs 2 crore in advance bookings.
