Blossoming in Rising Bharat: Star entrepreneurs take center stage on Day 1 of 'Insight: The DNA of Success' | India News
Talking about India’s long history of entrepreneurship and the need to foster it in India’s present environment, Sadhguru said, “We need to create a safety net for failure in this Culture. This is necessary to ignite a sense of adventure in people. When someone fails, if there is no safety net and they fall right into the street, people will become risk averse which will kill the spirit of Entrepreneurship.”
Rife with insights about the use of tech in business, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar’s conversation with Sadhguru was one of the highlights of the first day of Sadhguru Academy’s INSIGHT program wherein the minister discussed how the Digital India Act is in the pipeline and would be relevant in addressing the “harms of AI”. Sadhguru shared that the aspiration of those who care for a just & equal world has always been, “One Earth One Family One Future”. They emphasised that digital technology is essential for creating such a world.
Speaking at length on the opportunities and challenges of Artificial Intelligence, internet usage, and the role of social media platforms in creating a trusted digital environment, the Minister said that by 2026, India is expected to be the largest presence on the global internet with 1.2 billion people having direct un-intermediated access to the internet: “We have 845 million Indians today on the internet. We are the largest connected nation in the world on the internet. However, we also have 400 million Indians who are not on the internet. So we are also the largest unconnected nation in the world. But by 2026, we expect 1.2 billion Indians to be all having direct, un-intermediated access to the internet. And we will certainly be the single largest presence on the global internet by far.”
Dr Krishna Ella, Chairman & MD, Bharat Biotech delivered an inspiring session, talking about his journey of developing India’s Covid vaccine Covaxin against all odds, taking intuitive decisions as an entrepreneur and advising fellow entrepreneurs to predict changes of the future in advance. Talking about the importance of having a skill set rather than a degree, Dr. Ella said, “I think skill set is very powerful in making an innovation or in entrepreneurship. Degree is one point of it, but skill set is very crucial. That’s what I always believe.”
Abhishek Ganguly of Agilitas had an engaging session where he spoke of his background in Bhagalpur, transition from being a professional and working in Puma to becoming an entrepreneur, building his business, its work culture, fundraising, challenges faced during COVID and much more. Talking about what makes a business successful, Mr. Ganguly said, “I don’t believe [in] founder sets the company logic. I believe the founder perhaps provides the platform and if it is not everyone’s company and everyone’s not inspired to do any journey in business, it will never be successful.”
The next two days of INSIGHT will have further insightful speakers such as Bhavish Aggarwal, Founder, Ola; Vinod K Dasari, Chairman, Vinita Health and Tresa Motors; and Mithun Sacheti, Founder & MD, CaratLane.
The participants at INSIGHT: The DNA of Success are being mentored by 28 Resource Leaders who are working with small groups of participants to enable them to extract the best insights from the program.
