According to a report in News18, the filmmaker-producer has reportedly expressed interest in acquiring the rights to the hit Kannada film ‘Sapta Saagaradaache Ello.’ The movie has garnered immense popularity among Kannada-speaking audiences.

According to reports, Karan Johar is interested in the film franchise ‘Sapta Saagaradaache Ello Side A and B.’ Allegedly, he wishes to have the original film’s director, Hemanth Rao, helm the project. However, Hemanth Rao has not confirmed the proposal yet, considering various factors related to the film’s production, as per the reports.

‘Sapta Saagaradaache Ello – Side A’ came out on September 1, 2023, and Side B was released on November 17, 2023. Hemanth M Rao directed the film, starring Rakshit Shetty and Rukmini Vasanth as the main characters. Rakshit Shetty produced it under Paramvah Studios. Charan Raj created the music, Advaitha Gurumurthy was the cinematographer, and Sunil S Bharadwaj and Hemanth M Rao handled the editing. The movie received positive reviews from critics and did well at the box office.

Rakshit Shetty, the producer and lead actor of the film, started his acting journey with the movie ‘Nam Areal Ond Dina’ in 2010, playing a secondary role. However, he rose to fame with his role in ‘Simple Agi Ondh Love Story’ in 2013. Directed by Simple Suni, Rakshit Shetty starred opposite Shwetha Srivatsav in the film.
Meanwhile, apart from this, Karan will be producing Salman Khan’s next with Vishnu Vardhan. The movie is reportedly titled, ‘The Bull’.
