Modhera-Bechraji Padyatra: Modhera-Bechraji Padyatra Route Inaugurated by Gujarat Government.


Gandhinagar: The state government on Monday inaugurated a 15-km walking route from the Modheshwari temple to Becharaji temple. State industries minister Balvantsinh Rajput presided over a function to inaugurate the walkway.
A statement from Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board (GPYVB) said a large number of pilgrims visit the two temples. An official statement said in the long term, the state government will acquire land for a dedicated walkway between the two temples.
The government will set up signboards along the 15-km walkway and plant trees along it. The statement said arrangements are being made to ensure that a padyatra is held between the Modheshwari temple and Becharaji temple every full moon (purnima) night.

Valuables at Jagannath temple stolen
Unidentified criminals stole cash, a sound system, pen drives, and decoration items from a room at the Jagannath temple in Ranchi. The theft was captured on CCTV, showing a boy entering the room after breaking the window grilles. The temple, over 300 years old, has never experienced such a theft before. Police are conducting raids in nearby slum settlements to find the culprit. The Forensic Sciences Laboratory has also inspected the scene for fingerprints and footprints.
