Mumbai: The Borivli police have booked a man for allegedly slapping a four-year-old boy in the play area of a shopping centre. The boy’s parents who are police officers, filed the complaint.
“An FIR has been registered against the accused and he has been served a notice. The accused is the father of another childwho was also playing in the same area,” said an officer from Borivli police station.The incident occurred on Saturday in Moksh Plaza, Borivli West. The victim and other children were playing when a fight broke out between them. The accused noticed it and slapped the boy. When his parents’ inquired with the man as to why he slapped their son, an argument broke out between the two which snowballed into fisticuffs. Later the victim’s parents approached the Borivli police station. The CCTV footage at the establishment also confirmed about the incident. The boy’s mother is a sub-inspector with the special branch of Mumbai police while his father is an assistant police inspector.
In a another incident on Sunday, the Bandra police booked a man for allegedly threatening two 13-year-old boys for bursting firecrackers in the locality. The accused allegedly pulled them by their collars and threatened them with a gun.
