Salman Khan on his dream of opening a theatre chain in India and upcoming project choices: 'Slowly, steadily but surely!' | Hindi Movie News

While most actors speak about box-office clashes and how they should be avoided, Salman Khan is the only actor who has actually spoken about the actual problem. The actor had said that in an earlier interview that he wants to build more theatresin the country, especially in India’s Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. He says there is lack of good single screen theatres in the country.Although, that plan couldn’t work due to the lockdown. But now that theatres are slowly getting back on track and movies are working, the actor revealed if he still intends to do so!
When we asked Salman about it recently, he said, “Yes. I’ve been wanting to do that for a while. It’s a long process – Zameen, construction, and all that stuff (Land, construction, permissions and more). We will start on that hopefully next year. Slowly, steadily, but surely!”
The actor had said that he’d been looking for good scripts with drama and comedy and slightly move away from action. “I’ve got it now,” he smiles, adding that, “There’s going to be action, non-action, action, non-action, in terms of my upcoming line-up of movies. There has to be a goal, a sacrifice, purity, sincerity, and the songs, dhamaal, humour and climax that will blow everyone’s minds. That doesn’t mean that you’re fighting with 100 fighters. Only physical action is not action – it should be drama, love and reaching the goal without even raising a people. Your entire family of say 40-50 people going to watch a movie – that is action in theatres! Why? Because they loved the script.”
Meanwhile, Salman’s recent release ‘Tiger 3‘ with Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi has crossed Rs 400 crore gross at the worldwide box office.
