10 workers stuck after Karnataka godown collapse | India News

VIJAYAPURA: Over 10 workers from Bihar are said to be stuck under colossal piles of maize bags when some storage units broke at a private godown in Karnataka‘s Vijayapura late Monday. It is learnt that about 50 personnel were working in Rajguru Industriesa food-processing unit in Aliabad on the outskirts of Vijayapura. Each storage unit had around 120 tonnes of maize.
Police said three workers had been rescued and sent to hospital.”Rescue has been launched with fire and emergency services. Two cranes and four earthmovers are at work. We are hearing the voices of the workers stuck under the bags,” an official said.
