Months before the Lok Sabha elections, the Firozabad municipal corporation on Friday approved a proposal to rename the city to Chandranagar. The decision, passed during a 12-member executive committee meeting chaired by mayor Kamini Rathoregarnered overwhelming support with 11 members backing the change. A recommendation will now be made to the stategovernment.This move follows a trend, where several cities have been renamed under the Yogi government.
