Mumbai: The city crime branch early on Saturday raided a four-BHK in Khar and arrested 45 people, including 12 women, for their alleged involvement in gamblingpolice said. They also seized plastic coins worth over Rs 1 crore and Rs 34 lakh cash from the raid.
A team led by inspector Daya Nayak received information about gambling in a residential building.The police said the residents were also facing problems due to the alleged gamblers. The cops raided theflatlocated on the fifth floor of the building, and found 38 customers. There were three jockeys who were allegedly helping the customers in poker and teen-patti. Four partners in the gambling business were also detained, the police said. The customers were given plastic coins of different colours which were used as money while gambling, said police. While the arrested accused were released on bail, flat’s owner is still wanted. TNN
