Mumbai: A teacher has been arrested for allegedly molesting a 16-year-old student on the premises of a coaching class located in Sion Koliwadathe police said on Monday.
According to a complaint lodged by the girl, the police on Saturday registered a case against the teacher under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act, a police official said.
According to the complaint, the accused teacher had molested the girl on two occasions last month on the premises of the coaching class located in the jurisdiction of Antop Hill police station, said the police official.
The coaching class teacher has been arrested and remanded in police custody, the official said. PTI
