Ahmedabad: In the run-up to the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) 2024, some leading Australian firms have signed MoUs with the Gujarat government to develop strategic partnerships in startups and digital technology and establish finance sector firms in GIFT-IFSC, the country’s first international financial services centre.
Companies such as GPST Holdings Pty Ltd, Vermillion Ventures, and ANB Corp Pty Ltd are among those which have inked MoUs with the state government.
GIFT-IFSC has been attracting new businesses and large-scale investments from major global companies like Google, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley and others. tnn

Ahead of the Global Investors Meet (GIM) in January, the MSME department of the Tamil Nadu government signed 293 MoUs to bring in investments of 5,567 crore. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel visited Yamanashi Hydrogen Company in Japan to discuss the potential of the green hydrogen energy sector for Gujarat ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit. The company expressed interest in participating in the summit. CM Patel highlighted India’s initiatives under PM Narendra Modi, including the net zero carbon emissions target. India aims to reach 500 GW of non-fossil electricity capacity, generate half of energy from renewables, reduce emissions by 1 billion tonnes by 2030, and achieve net-zero emissions by 2070. CM Patel also invited the Governor of Yamanashi to attend the summit for new investments and opportunities in the renewable energy and green hydrogen sectors.
