What to know about Super Saturday Christmas shopping

Over 140 million people plan to shop on the last Saturday before Christmas, also known as Super Saturday. That’s according to a survey from the National Retail Foundation, which asked almost 8,000 adult consumers about their holiday shopping plans. According to the survey, as many as 53 million people will be trekking out of their homes to do some in-store shopping, which is up 28% from 2022. But 58 million people plan to shop both online and in stores. So, what will people be looking for? According to the National Retail Foundation, clothing, toys and gift cards lead the way among gifts that consumers have bought so far. The good news is when it comes to gift cards, you could actually get them on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day to be sent as an eGift card from a lot of major retailers. They’ll arrive in the gift recipient’s email and you can even customize it with a message.
