Ajay Devgan starrer ‘Meydan’ and Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff starrer ‘Bade Mian Chhote Mian’ are releasing today i.e. on the occasion of Eid. This is not the first time when Ajay and Akshay’s films will collide. Even before this, both have faced each other 6 times at the box office. Whereas, for the first time in the last 10 years, two films are clashing on Eid.
As for the connection between Eid and film releases, Salman Khan’s films are often released on this special occasion. Only two times in the last 10 years did Salman’s film not release on Eid, only in 2020 and 2022.

Question- Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff’s film is clashing with Ajay Devgn’s film on the occasion of Eid. What to say on this?
Answer- Advance bookings of both the films are not good at all. There can be many reasons for this. The first reason is that the release dates of both the films have changed frequently. Due to which the enthusiasm of the audience towards the film decreases.
However, there is no hesitation in saying that Maidan is a great film. This is a biopic film and will benefit from word of mouth publicity only.
At the same time, it is surprising to see this state of ‘Bade Mia Chhote Mia’. This is an action genre film. However, its advance booking is not very good. Despite the Eid holidays, his condition is bad. If we talk about the last 3 action films, the advance bookings of ‘Pathan’, ‘Jawaan’ and ‘Animal’ were tremendous.
Q- Who will benefit from the track record of Akshay and Devgan’s previous films?
Answer- Talking about Ajay’s previous films, films like ‘Shaitaan’ and ‘Sadyyam’ 2 have grossed tremendously. In such a situation, track records are of at least some benefit.
I also want to say that Ajay’s performance in ‘Meydan’ is amazing. However, he has always been the best, but for this film he will surely be awarded with big awards.
Whereas, ‘Bade Mian Chhote Mian’ is an action film. It has been shot with a big budget. The film is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar who has given hits like ‘Sultan’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’. Due to this reason this film will also be successful.
Akshay’s film will be a hit at the box office only when it takes an opening of Rs 20 crore. However, such an opening cannot be expected.
Question- What will be the opening day collection of both the films?
Answer- As far as I think ‘Bade Mian Chhote Mian’ can get an opening between 13-16 crores. However, the film should definitely get a 20 crore opening.
Whereas, ‘Meydan’ should get an opening of Rs 7-8 crore. If both the films get a good opening, then the industry will benefit well.
Question- Will this Eid be a sleepy one for Salman Khan’s fans?
Answer- Of course, Salman’s fans will miss him a lot. Salman has a huge contribution on Eid. However, none of his films are ready for release yet. We have to wait for that.

Akshay released 26 films in 10 years, 6 were flops.
Akshay Kumar has released a total of 26 films from 2015 to 2024. Out of which 6 films have been flops. Rest of the films have been hit, semi hit, super hit and average. In these 10 years, only in 2020, not a single film of Akshay was released, because at that time there was the terror of Corona epidemic all around.
In 10 years, Tiger gave only one hit and one blockbuster film.

Released in 2023 itself, ‘Ganapat’ turned out to be a superflop.
Ajay released 14 films in 10 years, only 3 were flops.
In the last 10 years, Ajay has released 14 films out of which only 3 films have been flops. ‘Bhola’, ‘Baadshaho’ and ‘Shivay’ grossed average. While 1 film was a super hit and 1 was a semi hit. Ajay’s ‘Drishyam 2’ and ‘Tanaji’ turned out to be blockbusters at the box office. Also 4 films were in hit category.

If we look at the budget of these 7 films, the budget of none of them is more than 170 crore rupees. The film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, made for Rs 90 crore, collected Rs 922.17 crore worldwide.
Salman has not released any film on Eid 2024. In the last 10 years, in only two years, 2020 and 2022, not a single film of Salman was released on Eid. However, no film has been released on Eid in these 2 years. Whereas, from 2015 to 2023, no film hit on Eid.
