Actor Akhilendra Mishra narrated a story from Salman Khan starrer ‘Veeragati’. Akhilendra played the role of villain in this film. He said that Salman has worked hard for this film. According to reports, this was Salman’s first action film. In this film, Salman Khan showed his six pack abs for the first time.

He practiced all night before every shot. Talking about the climax, he said that it took many days to shoot the climax of ‘Veeragati’. Salman Khan used to lift weights all night to give perfect shots.

However, the audience did not like this action film. This film also did not perform so well at the box office. But, the film ran for 100 days in cinemas.
The film featured many veteran actors including actresses Divya Dutta, Atul Agnihotri, Himani Shivpuri, Farida Jalal, Pooja Dadwal, Sudesh Berry and Sudhir Pandey. All the actors of the film were highly praised in those days.
This movie was released in 1995. ‘Veeragati’ was directed by KK Singh. The producer of this film was Babubhai Latiwala. Babubhai Latiwala died of a heart attack on 23 October 2023.
Akhilendra Mishra was first seen in the serial ‘Udaan’, but he got recognition from the famous 90s fantasy show ‘Chandrakanta’. After this he continued to work in serials one after another. Sometimes he became Ravana and sometimes he became Kansa in ‘Mahabharata’. Akhilendra Mishra made his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Dharavi’ directed by Sudhir Mishra.
